Our Company

Marine Design Solutions, Inc. was founded in 2008 by Neal Mitchell after working in naval architecture and marine engineering as well as several industrial technical positions. Neal, with more than 19 years of combined hands-on and engineering design experience, set out to create a design firm that could offer highly specialized, yet practical, design and engineering services to the marine industry.

MDS provides marine design and engineering services to Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Firms, Yacht Builders, Commercial Ship Owners, and government agencies. We also offer product development services to marine based product manufacturers and science and research facilities. Our services are geared for providing both primary engineering services as well as secondary overflow support to in-house engineering departments.

MDS strives to stay abreast of the latest technology to provide the most up-to-date, high-quality, professional services. But when it comes to customer service, we prefer to be a bit old fashioned.
